Facilities:
Five-Star PADI dive facility

Activities: While motorized sports are prohibited, the swimming, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, and reef fishing are excellent. Tennis is available along with village visits, excursions to archeological sites and the "Red Prawn Caves". Guides will take you on hikes into the jungle, where you can learn about native plant medicines and see ancient petroglyphs. You may also arrange intimate picnics on a secluded beach away from the resort - or even reserve your own "Robinson Crusoe" island for that special romance interlude. All activities are complimentary except for Scuba Diving and Massages.

Diving: The quality of the scuba diving sites at Vatulele has been one of the South Pacific's well-kept secrets for many years, and only recently has it been revealed as one of the premier dive destinations in the region. Vatulele is the only five star island resort in Fiji with a PADI Gold Palm 5 Star dive facility and resident instructors. It offers a cross-section of diving possibilities: soft coral, hard coral and pelagics. Underwater visibility ranges from above average to excellent and there are few currents. The island is surrounded by deep water and large "drop offs" offering 22 dive site within fifteen minutes of the resort.

Weddings: The service is usually held on the beach at sunset. Traditional dressed Fijian Warriors will accompany the bride on a gondola across the lagoon, and children will toss flower petals along the sand as the bride is carried ashore. The ceremony is accompanied by the mellow voices of a village choir raised in sublime harmony. The vows are solemnized by a Fijian minister. All the guests are invited; they participate in champagne toasts and the traditional Kava ceremony, a native feast and later enjoy villager's genuine ceremonial dances.

Note: There is a minimum stay for a wedding couple of six nights. The ceremony will be arranged towards the end of your stay. The resort's thoughts are this will allow the couple to establish a relationship with the locals and other resort guests who will be invited to the ceremony and festivities.
