How to reach the property: 15 minute ground transfer from the Nausori Airport or downtown Suva.

Hotel Description: The charm of Raintree Lodge lies in its combination of tranquility, forest coolness and deep water. It is actually sited in an old quarry and boasts two lakes and a forest park next door. This eco-tourist resort is a haven for those who want to escape a city stay but still be close to everything. The lodge and backpacker accommodation has been carefully sited and designed to integrate building, forest and water. It is cool, leafy and secluded. It was Fiji's first fully-designed Eco-Tourist Resorts.

Accommodations: The five lodges (which are really individual cottages) are built of plantation timber, carefully positioned among trees and boulders to command views over the lakes. Lodge accommodation is clean, simple and comfortable with a large bathroom, private verandah and ceiling fan. Four lodges have tea/coffee making facilities, including a bar fridge while the firth lodge is self-contained with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and sleeping loft. Dormitory style lodging is also available.

Restaurant/Bar: Floating over the larger of two freshwater lakes, the popular Raintree Restaurant. It has become know for its delicious fresh local food, warm ambience and beautiful water views. Dinning can be on the verandahs or inside the traditional Fijian Bure.

Facilities: Gift shop, large recreation room, telephone, fax, email and Internet facilities available from the office. Radio, TV and video hire.

Activities: Apart from walks and waterfall picnics in the nearby Forest Park, Raintree Lodge offers swimming in the big lake, rowing, fishing, volleyball, petanque and bird watching.
