 Some
of Fiji most outstanding islands are located just off shore from the main
island of Viti Levu. This grouping is called the Mamanuca Islands. Set
in the deep blue waters with fringing coral reefs these islands are home
to many resorts, each offering its own unique character.
Fiji's
drier, western side provides for a pleasant year-round climate and features
more semi-arid landscaping than the northern or eastern islands. They
are distinguished by less dense vegetation with a more grassy terrain.
